The first farm tour of its kind in the far north of Scotland. Get off the beaten track and have a tour in a four wheel drive buggy or a quad bike and trailer and get an insight into a family run hill farm.
We will meet you in our reception cabin where we introduce ourselves and you will get a brief introduction about the farm. We then go off on our tour round the farm and learn how some of your food is produced to some of the highest standards.
We have a number of stops on route to explain things and questions are very welcome. You will get up close to the sheep and cows including our two highland cows. Learn a bit about the local history and the natural environment and see how the farm has become carbon neutral. Get to see some stunning views and hopefully some wildlife as we go round. Meet the two horses, the pet sheep, the two pygmy goats, Harris and Tweed and the pack of friendly working farm dogs.
Depending on the time of year, you may get to bottle feed some lambs. Once the tour is over you are welcome to go back into the reception cabin where there is home produced beef and various jams and other bits and pieces for sale as well as the information boards. There ia also information regarding other tourist attractions.
The tours and duration can vary depending on the number of people but we only take one booking per tour to make it a more personal experience. Cost is per booking and not per person. Warm clothing is advised and booking is essential.
