Scottish Quads

Published on: 24/01/23

We love Scotland, even perhaps especially in winter, when its dramatic scenery and miles of adventure are set off to their epic natural advantage. And of course, if you want the guarantee of UK winter snow, it’s the ultimate place to go without the cost, hassle and impact of heading abroad. So no longing looks back at the sofa, this week we’re getting fired up with an all-action winter activity that will warm you all over!

Scottish Quads, based just outside the beautiful Perthshire town of Pitlochry, are quad-biking trailblazers whose powerful but safe machines will guarantee the ride of your life! The driving force (literally) is well-named founder and MD Murray Trail, a Kiwi who was lured to Scotland by its incredible landscapes and potential for outdoor adventure. Having worked as a qualified adventure sports instructor all over the world, Murray combines his skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to guarantee you a memorable adventure.

Safety First - Your Security

All treks are guided by fully qualified Quad Biking Instructors and start with a safety and familiarisation session. The minimum age for Scottish Quds is 12, with guidance that children should be big enough to operate brakes on an adult sized bicycle. Safety is always first, with sessions rescheduled to your convenience if adverse weather conditions make the trails too difficult or dangerous to traverse.

Now, remember you might get muddy- OK, no “might” about it! Scottish Quads recommend (and we endorse!), wearing old clothing and footwear. Seasoned enthusiasts can bring your own kit, including helmet, if you prefer. But none is needed- the team supply everything: CE approved helmets, gloves, eye protection, overalls, jackets, wellies, and will ensure you are fully, safely, and warmly kitted out!
