Published on: 03/02/22

Continuing our banish-the-winter-blues trip around some of the best attractions in or on the doorstep of our major cities, this week we’ve arrived in Birmingham. A centre of industry and recreation for centuries, great transport links mean there’s no reason for the people of the midlands to keep these treats for themselves!

With easy access from north, south, east and west into Wales, you’re spoiled for choice, indoors and out. So here’s our starter for four- what are you waiting for?

Midland Karting, Lichfield

Book Now

With over two decades of experience in delivering outstanding outdoor karting, Midland Karting’s three floodlit circuits, high-quality petrol race karts, and 40mph thrills will leave you gasping. The International Circuit offers high-speed straights and fast free-flowing corners, as close to Formula 1 competitive racing as you can get in a go kart. Wider racing areas, shorter straights and slower corners make the Family Circuit perfect for newcomers and mini-racers- bang on for birthday parties.

Or combine both tracks in the ultimate Super Circuit, introducing new hairpin bends, fast sweeping corners and more straights resulting in higher speeds. This larger circuit can host up to 14 karts at any one time- perfect for full-on epic racing for larger groups or longer endurance sessions. Just off the A38, Midland Karting is handily accessible from Birmingham, Derby, Nottingham and Stoke-on-Trent. And, open till 8pm seven days a week, there’s no need even to wait for the weekend!
