As we reported in last week’s blog, escape rooms are the hot team leisure activity, perfect for reconnecting with friends and family in a safe, secure environment. Wherever they’re located, escape rooms can take you deep into the past, beneath the surface of the earth, or off the planet altogether! Locked in a room with friends, family, or colleagues, you have an hour to solve a series of puzzles and mysteries to escape. You will have to search high and low for clues and work together if you want to escape. There are no physical activities or challenges involved in Breakout Live’s games, making them very inclusive. Everything you need is inside your head; with the clock ticking down, you have 60 minutes to escape by using only your brain- and, luckily for us, those of your team-mates!

Each team is allocated an in-character guide who will accompany on your journey, challenge you, cheer you on, and might be persuaded to hand over useful information… But they’ll still make you work for it! The Games

Breakout Live Swansea’s three games have been designed and manufactured in house, so you won’t find another copy anywhere else in the world!

Prison Strike: In a terrible case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, you have been framed for murder and sentenced to a death penalty. Your challenge is to uncover and execute the ultimate escape plan left behind from the previous inhabitant of your prison cell. What would you prefer, being a ‘criminal’ on the run, or an innocent person put to death?!

You have one hour before the guards return from their rounds. It’s now or never...

Mumbles Bunker: There is a murderer on the loose, and police are warning members of the public to stay vigilant. It is likely that the killer is keeping his victims captive in order to play a game with them. The victims are locked in a room and must escape within one hour or face being locked up for ever. Possibly the very room you now find yourself lock in. Don’t panic! Use your teams wit and resilience to uncover the killer’s identity, and escape.

Voyager: The Voyager spacecraft was traveling to a new homeland when its systems malfunctioned. You come out of hibernation and face being stuck on the ship for eternity. You must prove that you are human to enter the cockpit and turn the ship around. Human- something we take for granted, but in this alien world, how do you start to prove your very identity?

The Breakout Breakdown

Breakout Live Swansea is located in central Swansea; the owners wanted to help in the city’s regeneration plan, so they took on an empty office pace and transformed it into a fully-fledged escape room venue offering three exhilarating games.

Games are for 2-6 players, with minimum recommended age 10. Bookings of up to 18 can be taken, with teams divided between the three games, but remember- don’t give away any clues! Book through Let’s Go Out’s Breakout Live Swansea page for exclusive discounts.

Located at 31 The Kingsway, it’s easy to find, with lots of car parks nearby. Breakout Live Swansea is open Wednesday-Saturday till 11pm, and Sunday till 8pm, so you can make a night of it, the perfect after-work de-stresser!
