RHS The Place For Plants
The tranquil 20-acre garden at Place for Plants: East Bergholt Place Garden, often referred to as a 'Cornish Garden in Suffolk', benefits from a mild coastal climate and a wonderful woodland microclimate. Laid out at the turn of the last century by the present owner's great-grandfather, the garden has a fine collection of mature and younger trees and shrubs – many of which are rarely seen elsewhere – rambling roses and fine topiary yew hedges.

The garden's meandering paths and gentle slopes are particularly beautiful in the spring with its large collection of magnolias, camellias and flowering dogwoods. Naturalised bulbs have been widely used in the garden and the fritillary, Fritillaria meleagris bank is not to be missed.
