RHS Artparks Subtropical Wild Garden
This is a wild subtropical garden in a little valley surrounding a couple of small lakes in ancient woodland. It's crammed with a wide variety of luxurious plants from warmer parts of the world. Follow the winding path through drifts of bamboo varieties set among shrubs of about 250 camellias, assorted tree ferns and banana trees.
Drifts of cyclamen, hydrangeas, Brugmansia and ginger plants come into flower in the autumn and early winter, marking seasonal changes. Arum italicum comes out in abundance in winter with cyclamen, camellias and early spring bulbs.

Drifts of cyclamen, hydrangeas, Brugmansia and ginger plants come into flower in the autumn and early winter, marking seasonal changes. Arum italicum comes out in abundance in winter with cyclamen, camellias and early spring bulbs.
Spring heralds unfurling tree ferns with their usual vigour with neighbouring camellias. Hostas, snowdrops, hellebores and early cyclamen then flourish in summer. The path you follow winds around and doubles back on an exciting tour of discovery interspersed with some sculpture and atmospheric poetry.
