Recreational Kayaking Introduction

The Recreational Kayak introductory course gives you the fundamental skills to paddle a sit-on-top, sit-in recreational kayak safely and efficiently in enclosed waters with others.
For sit-on-tops, it will be a single kayak but for bookings of 2 or more adults, if you prefer to use a double kayak, please let us know in the Comments box.
The session covers a range of topics: interpret weather conditions, dress appropriately for the range of conditions, and understand the advantages and limitations of your kayak. Join us for expert tuition in small groups capped at 6 participants. This course was developed to promote safe and enjoyable kayaking.
Children aged 7-14 are welcome, however, they must paddle a double kayak with an adult

E-Boat Hire

Maximum 6 people on 1 boat.
These very stable and versatile hard shell plastic boats are a lot of fun and with the fully electric outboard motor making it better for the environment and pretty much silent while cruising up and down the river, making them great fun for the whole family.
Do not worry a member of staff will talk you through it to ensure you are comfortable and answer any questions you might have.
Useful Information

What To Bring
- The captain of the boat will need to bring a form of I.D.
- A credit card will be held as a deposit until your return.
- Depending on the weather, we recommend you bring a raincoat, umbrella, warm layers, a baseball cap, sunglasses, and sun cream.
Important to Know
The Captain of the boat will be responsible for the safety of the people onboard and the duty of care of the boat. The captain or anyone in charge of the boat most not enter any locks or go within 100 meters of any meres or weirs for everyones safety.
The Captain will not be allowed to pilot the boat if they have consumed any alcohol before or during the session. Similarly, if customers are intoxicated they will not be allowed on the boat and will not be entitled to a refund if prepaid.
Adults are given the option if they choose to wear a Personal Floatation Device (PFD), although it is mandatory that all children under the age of 18 years old will have to wear a (PFD).
