Explore, discover and enjoy the creeks and coves around Combe Martin bay on your own kayak or stand up paddle board.  Sea kayaking in Combe Martin has become one of the must thing to do whilst on holiday in Devon. Combe Martin bay is perfect for kayaking and stand up paddle boarding for all levels.

There is around 3km of coastline to safely paddle, along with having one of the most beautiful and scenic coastlines in the South West, best viewed from the sea. There is also plenty of wildlife to spot... fulmars, oyster catchers, peregrine falcons, seals, porpoise and dolphins can often be seen. Kayaks 

We use the latest, British made sit-on-top type kayaks which are very stable and easy to use. They are new at the start of every season and are fitted with luxury seats for your ultimate comfort and best experience. We have a range of sizes to suit most paddler weights, sizes and abilities. We are the only company operating from Combe Martin that have fully qualified kayak instructors for your ultimate safety and best advice.  

Stand up paddle boards - SUP's

We have a rage of SUP's to suit all sizes from small hard (soft top) boards for children, small adults or advanced paddlers to very large inflatable paddle boards for the larger person, beginner or novice paddler. We also have the "Explorer SUP" suitable for up to 4 paddlers and the "Super Tanker" which will take up to 10 people. We are the only company in Combe Martin with qualified and experienced SUP instructors.

"Beach and Cave" & "Coastal Cruise" kayak tours...

Paddle and explore all what Combe Martin bay has to offer with the reassurance of being accompanied by fully qualified and highly experienced local guide. All our sea kayak tours start at our centre where you will be introduced to your guide along with being kitted out with all the required equipment including wetsuits. Our watersports centre is just 50m from the beach, all kayaks will be on the beach waiting for you at the waters edge. Your tour will begin with some basic paddling instruction and safety information. Your guide will then take you to various locations around the bay including private and idyllic beaches, caves and local spots where dolphins, porpoise and seals are sometimes spotted.   

The tours last around 2hrs and are well suited to any capability and younger children. We are able to cater for small groups (minimum 2) or larger groups of 6 - 50, our standard tour group size is a maximum of 8 people. Both tours are similar, the Beach & Cave Tour will run on higher tides only, allowing the tour to venture into some of the caves. 

"Ultimate Exclusive" kayak tour...

Treat yourself and have your own personal guide along with reserved parking! This tour will predominately be our Beach & Cave tour with a very personal touch just for your family or group. No need to worry about finding a parking space during the busy season as we will reserve a maximum of 2 spaces (1 space per 4 people) just for you at our centre. minimum of 2 people required.

Stand Up and Paddle Board Hire

Hire your own stand up paddle board (SUP) and explore the bay at your own leisure or just bimble around and give it a go with your friends or family. If you have never done it before, one of our qualified instructors will give you some "top tips" on how to get started before you get on the water. Combe Martin is perfect bay for learning and we are the only company with qualified instructors so why not just give it a go!  

1hr SUP Taster Session 

For the total beginner who wants to give stand up paddle boarding a go with the added security on an instructor. Great family fun with small group sizes only. With one of our instructors you will learn all about the equipment and about getting onto the water safely. Once on the water you will learn how to maneuver the board before you give standing up a go. Wetsuits are not included.   

Stand Up and Paddle with Kim (Lessons)

A relaxed 2hr stand up paddle board session with Kim where you will learn all the basics before heading off on a mini adventure of Combe Martin bay.

All equipment is provided including wetsuits, you will require suitable footwear. This experience is ideally suited to small groups and families (age restrictions apply) and aimed at the novice to intermediate paddler. For intermediate level paddlers we are able to offer a more advanced tour, please get in contact to ensure you are in the correct group.

The Explorer Family SUP 

A family stand up paddle board that will take 2-4 people and is a great way for the whole family to have some fun!

It is also ideal for groups and parties, for larger groups it can be combined with the "Super Tanker"

The Super Tanker party SUP! 

Ideal for stag and hen groups along with schools and corporate events. It will hold 8-10 adults and will test your coordination, balance and friendships!! 

Cliff Jumping & Kayaking!

Our very own take on coasteering and ideal for your adrenaline fix!! Kayak-steering is the best of both where you will take a leisurely kayak trip to a number of great coasteering jumping spots. Can you nail the Nail??

What to bring

Something to wear under a wetsuit, normally a swimming costume, swim shorts or trunks are fine, if you prefer you can wear your own wetsuit. Suitable footwear for walking/scrambling across rocks, old trainers and surf boots are perfect. A bottle of water is always advised.
