Orienteering is definitely one that can take advantage of the area where we are located. The most popular route involves starting in the Olchon Valley and walking along the Black Hill where at the highest point it is possible to look out over several counties on a clear day. For this activity you and your team must navigate your way between control markers using a specifically drawn map. Before you set off we will teach you the basic principles of navigation, using the maps and compasses.

But fear not... our experienced mountain biking instructors will break you in gently! They'll run you through the nuts and bolts of body positioning, gear shifting and controlled braking, and a few basic mountain biking techniques to get you going in the Herefordshire and Welsh countryside. Once you become familiar with your trusty steed, it's time to tackle the trickier stuff! There are a wide variety of trails to choose from in Herefordshire and Wales.

Whether you are clay shooting for the first time or you want to improve your existing skills, our experienced clay pigeon shooting instructors will demonstrate how to use 12 gauge shotguns safely and accurately. The clays are released from automatic traps in a variety of locations in order to simulate specific prey. It is a thrilling experience, demanding concentration, a keen eye and quick reactions. Waiting with the finger on the trigger, we can guarantee you'll feel your heart pounding.

If you're looking for indoor target shooting, you've found the right place! The clue is in the name, this activity is run indoors so regardless of the weather you are guaranteed to have a great time. You will have the opportunity to use a variety of shooting weapons for this activity; CO2 eight-shot semi-auto pistols, bolt action scoped rifles, slingshots, powerful hunting crossbows, and longbows which are all demonstrated by experienced instructors.

If you're looking for a top paintballing activity day near Hereford & Brecon, look no further! You will be fully kitted out with camouflage gear, complete with goggles, hood, gloves and a battle pack to keep the paintballs pots in, and a Tippman 98 semi-auto paintball gun. You will be recruited into one of two teams and a briefing will be given on the equipment and your battle strategy. The objective of each game is to score more points than your opponents.

There are hundreds of superb routes throughout the Brecon Beacons making ideal walks - all with fabulous scenery, ideal for mountain walking. Our experienced canoeing instructors will teach you the basic art of canoeing through the Herefordshire River Wye before you have even dipped a toe in the water. We'll supply you with a buoyancy aid, canoe, and paddle. Our canoes are based on the type first used by the North American Indians (you'll be pleased to know) that since then they have been modified to become a great deal lighter and more stable! These Canadian canoes are open-topped and will seat two or three people.

Gorge Walking Wales or Canyoning as it is also known is one of the most adrenalin activities that you can do in completely unspoilt natural surroundings and we will tell you now the Brecon Beacons is one of the best areas to do it in. Challenge yourself on this exhilarating trail through the stunning gorges of the Welsh countryside. Experienced instructors will take you on a journey with a difference as you scramble over rocks, sneak behind waterfalls and traverse the slippery rock face

If you're looking for the perfect Hovercraft Experience in Herefordshire, the Midlands or Wales, look no further! Firstly the good news, hovercrafts are so much fun to try to manoeuvre....initially most people find it slightly challenging to go round corners and there can be a serious amount of drift as there are no wheels to turn. Now for the bad news...there are no brakes on a hovercraft, so this is where life gets really interesting!

Split into teams you'll be given only the bare essentials: barrels, poles and rope, with which, in a limited amount of time you have to build your raft! This activity takes place in Herefordshire, requires creativity, initiative and teamwork. Then comes the big crunch... is it going to float? Is it going to stay in one piece? Is it going to get you safely down the river?! Are we watching a re-run of Papillon here, or will it get named the Titanic II or the Mary Rose?

It's laughter and excitement all the way in our action-packed all-terrain Quad Bike Challenge in Herefordshire near South Wales. At the start of the session a full brief is given on the controls of the quad bike. This is then followed by a practice session where you are taught how to ride the quad bikes safely. Each rider then takes part in the Quad Challenge which will test their skill levels over a series of events - this is point scored and the highest scoring individuals
