Freshwater Bay Coasteering was founded by Chris Mannion and Adam Barnes in order to offer a new exhilarating outdoor activity to the Isle of Wight.
We are Both seasoned watersports instructors and have been working together for the last 6 years. Between us we have over 50 years of watersports knowledge and are extremely passionate about helping others to enjoy and learn from everything that the coast has to offer.

What is Coasteering?
Coasteering is basically mountaineering along a coast line. Treating the natural environment and obstacles as a giant playground! It involves sea swimming, rock climbing, caving and rock jumping.
You need to be aged 12yrs upwards, confident in the water and can swim.
What we Offer
Upon arrival you will meet our friendly team who will kit you out with a warm winter wetsuit, a helmet and a buoyancy aid.
Your two hour session will be guided by an instructor who will help you to explore the stunning Freshwater Bay. A session will involve sea swimming along the cliff line around the headlands, scrambling across the rocks, discovering the caves and using the cliffs for jumps.
What you need to bring
To preserve the life of our wetsuits, we ask all our customers to bring an old pair of shorts to wear over your wetsuit.
An old pair of trainers or beach shoes that have a good grip for climbing over rocks.
