Curious About... Llandudno
Explore Llandudno town centre with two self-guided heritage walks with a treasure hunt theme. Discover Llandudno's "hidden treasures" whilst having a fun day out with family and friends!
Llandudno is a fabulous North Wales seaside resort which has a 2,295 feet long pier, and over 30 shipwrecks in Llandudno Bay. One of the oldest is the Phoenix, a warship wrecked in 1642 off the Great Orme. There are herds of goats all across the Great Orme, which are Kashmir goats.
Alice Liddell, who inspired the character of ‘Alice’ in Lewis Carroll's ‘Alice in Wonderland’, would take family holidays to Llandudno. Winston Churchill stayed in Room 109 at the Grand Hotel when he visited Llandudno for the Conservative Party’s annual conference in 1948.
