Curious About... Bath
Explore Bath Spa city centre with two self-guided heritage walks with a treasure hunt theme. Discover Bath's "hidden treasures" whilst having a fun day out with family and friends!
Bath Spa is renowned for its hot spring baths - the city sits in the mouth of a long-dormant volcano, extinct for many millennia, but the thermal heat still makes for a nice, relaxing dip. It was once home to literary legend Jane Austen, but it’s also the city that inspired Mary Shelley to finish writing Frankenstein.
The Saracen’s Head, one of the oldest pubs in Bath, was visited by Charles Dickens in 1835. The streets were given a starring role in Hollywood movies such as The Duchess, Les Miserables and Jane Austen’s Persuasion.
