Coastal Adventures

We make our way from Hele Beach around the stunning coves that stalk the cliffs with amazing views extending across to Wales. There is plenty of swimming along the cliff base and through the gullies to find jumps ranging from 3 - 33 feet.

There are plenty of options for all ability levels here, we recommend this route if you have a mixed ages/abilities group. For those of you looking for the biggest jumps we have we can also tailor this route to suit your needs. You will spend around 2 hours in the water and 2.5 hours in total from arrival at the location to departure.

A thrill seekers route involving washing machine swims (watch our coasteering video), lots of jumps ranging from small to big and the opportunity to see some of the famous big caves near Baggy Point headland. This route is perfect if you are looking to spend more time coasteering and have lots of fun, you will need to be confident in the water and relatively fit as we cover a fair distance.

This route is the most condition dependant we offer, we always contact you if there is a possible location change. We spend between 2 and 2.5 hours in the water for this session.

We make our way along the beautiful Baggy Point in an action packed adventure consisting of short gulley swims, small to medium jumps and plenty of scrambling and bouldering along the coastline. We recommend this route if you are less confident or if there are small children in your group. You will spend around 2 hours in the water and 2.5 hours in total from arrival at the Baggy point car park to departure.

This is the highest standard ILS recognised Beach Lifeguarding qualification in the UK - giving you the opportunity to work in our industry. You must hold an ILS recognised qualification to work as a surf instructor, coasteering guide or RNLI beach lifeguard in the UK. This qualification also allows you to work in a water safety team at events such as triathlons and open water swims.

Your adventure begins from a protected pebbly shoreline, where we teach you the basics of Stand Up Paddle boarding along with essential safety points to get you on the water!

We tailor the tour completely to your ability level exploring the amazing estuarial waters of North Devon packed with wildlife, incredible views and scenery. Stand Up Paddling is an awesome way to improve fitness whilst enjoying the outdoors and it requires no previous experience. We use all rounder Stand Up Paddle boards perfect for beginners through to intermediates.

Your SUP tidal cruise begins on the sandy shores of Instow beach where we talk through of the basics of stand up paddling with some essential safety points. We will then proceed in to the water cruising with the tide following the Torridge river taking in the beautiful views and wildlife along the way.

After an hour or so, once the tide turns we cruise back in the direction we came from enjoying the scenery on the other side of the river towards Appledore quay, finishing up where we started at Instow beach. SUP is an amazing way to keep fit whilst enjoying the stunning scenes that North Devon has to offer.
