Causeway Coasteering
Causeway Coasteering is based in Bushmills, County Antrim, and offers a professional and friendly team to help you have a great time and enjoy the experiences available.
Coasteering is raw adrenaline; cliff jumping, bouldering, climbing, belly-flopping, get spun and pushed around in a wave pool, clambering, some underwater challenges and otherwise using our rugged coastline as an adventure playground. However, coasteering is much more than that.
Activities at Causeway Coasteering include:
- The Wee C
- The Causeway Safari
- The Causeway Special
- The Causeway Deluxe
We have also included their opening times and contact details. If you have any questions, you can contact the venue directly.

Coasteering is raw adrenaline; cliff jumping, bouldering, climbing, belly-flopping, rough treatment by waves, clambering and using our rugged coastline as an adventure playground. However, coasteering is much more than that. For many the opportunity to uniquely experience our beautiful shallow coastal caves, hidden coves and little islands around our breathtakingly, rugged coastline is the highlight of their coasteering adventure. Naturally, our trained local guides ensure you get the very most out of your time, safely.
With winter wetsuits, experienced guides and all the necessary safety gear, let's get you wet!
Will I not be freezing?
No. We use high quality winter wetsuits to keep you [and I] toasty, all year round
Will I be safe?
Yes. We are accredited Beach Lifeguards with 20yrs ocean experience and when you’re wearing a wetsuit, helmet and buoyancy aid you’ll feel very secure.
Do I have to jump off scary heights
Only if YOU want to. No one is allowed to jump off anything they’re not comfortable with, even if it’s within our safe height limit
Is this only for beautiful weather?
Wet, windy weather doesn’t concern us. Customers thoroughly enjoy being in the water during cloud bursts, couldn’t be dressed any better for it in a wetsuit! If the sea becomes too rough we make the decision to go to a sheltered spot or change the activity.

We're based in Portrush and operate along the Causeway Coast. On any given day, the sea determines exactly where we start, so the evening before your session, as the sea forecasting data has become clearer, we make a decision on the exact meeting point and email you to let you know.

Hope your plans start coming together nicely and please let me know if there’s anything I can do for you, even if it’s simply North Coast related and not strictly to do with coasteering etc. Happy to help!

An utterly unique and entirely private day in our lovely Land Rover 4x4. Join us for an expedition setting off from Bushmills or Portrush. Enjoy a bespoke coasteering adventure in locations that our normal groups (or coaches!) seldom access or see. Together we’ll select two different locations for our days’ adventure, take in the stunning scenes from the comfort of the Land Rover and enjoy a sweet little spot for lunch!

Optional Extras
We’re very excited to now offer a professional water/underwater photographer to add to any of the above packages. This photographer is experienced not only in photography but is also a seasoned waterman and is dedicated to getting unique and stunning shots of you and your session, both the coasteering action and beautiful portraits!
They’ll be edited and delivered, ready for print and/or social media! Selecting this option also guarantees an exclusive session, meaning we can really work at getting the photos you want, without intrusion. Some of these images have made it to our Causeway Coasteering Instagram page.

Coasteering for Kids
We frequently get asked about age limits! We’ve had three 4 yr olds coasteering. We more frequently have 6-7yr olds involved, lots of 8yr olds and countless kids 9+yrs. Really, their attitude makes as much difference as their age…well, to a degree anyway. We always tone the activity up or down depending on the abilities of all our groups and can usually cater very well to the varying needs that appear within a group, those wanting more and those who are struggling to keep up, ensuring everyone has an excellent and safe day out!
We do a variety of epic routes and alter the intensity/pace of the session according to the confidence and competence of the children (and even individuals within the group), but it's always awesome and in our experience, it's always extra special if Mum and/or Dad are there in the thick of it…at least watching.
Those who aren’t feeling quite so adventurous don’t have to do all the big jumps, but still get to be part of the buzz and can enjoy jumps that suit them, wave pools, climbs and scrambles, and whatever they like, basically.
