Trip starts at Cardrona (car park just before the Hotel on the left) and we paddle down to Ashstiel. Last 4-5 hours.
We've got barrels for you to put your stuff in to keep it dry, one per person then one for your boat, so 2 people would share 3 barrels between them. Not got masses of space so if we can travel light that would be great. Barrels are 30ltr. The first part of the morning will be sorting the kit out.
We'll provide all cooking utensils, plates, cups, stoves etc. Juice, water tea/coffee
Also got a grill that goes over the fire if people want to have a go at cooking over the fire. If not, stoves are provided.
If People wanted to park cars at campsite and leave camping gear etc, that would save space etc that's fine.
We can always give people a lift back up for cars later on once we make camp.
Alternatively we leave cars at cardrona and we'll arrange for you guys to get lift back up in the morning. Let us know your thoughts on that one.
Lastly, Campsite is in a lovely old forest and there is a fire pit big enough to sit round. We have Tp Tents which can sleep up to 6. Each group will have a Tp to themselves. Toilet facilities are a bit back to nature. We have portable Port a loo's that we'll set up.
