Archery is a sport demanding a wide range of skills which also have a number of health and fitness benefits and it is also very social and enjoyable. Archery is not just popular among professionals and adults but also among kids and students. In many schools and colleges, archery has been a part of extra curricular activities which can improve skills of children and they can acquire the skills required in this game.

Even if you’re a novice or a seasoned shooter, there’s always something new to learn in the sport of clay pigeon shooting. At Avalanche Adventure Ltd we can show you how to improve. If you’ve just started off there are many things that you need to get a hang of before you can step out and shoot a clay pigeon.

Those who are new to clay pigeon shooting will need to undertake several crucial shooting lessons that are provided at Avalanche Adventure Ltd. If you happen to be well acquainted with it you may still need to take sessions to keep your skill and technique well honed.

Starting out as hunting and fighting skills soon became known for settling scores between tribes, each person will get the opportunity to initially throw our training ‘Angel’ axes and then the Norse tomahawks at the targets. Your instructor will show you the basics before you have a go yourself taking aim at the log targets, although as you will find out achieving an all-important stick is harder than it seems!

If you feel the Big Guns are too much, have a go with our small guns our Air rifle shooting experiences are extremely good fun and make a great family activity. 

Ever seen a digger and wanted to have a go? At Avalanche Adventure you can get behind the controls of these impressive machines and discover what it takes to dig, blade and even dance with a digger!

Experience the most varied and exciting Hovercraft adventures in the country. Ever fancied trying something very exhilarating with a difference,well how about a hovercraft experience? Unlike any other vehicle the hovercraft floats on a cushion of air so it is a very different and unusual sensation.

At Avalanche Adventure we offer you the chance to manoeuvre an eight-wheeled skid-steer Argocat around our man-made all-terrain course, where you can compete against your friends or colleagues on a time-trial event or simply try to make your way up and down our steep slope, across our deep water and through our slippery obstacle course. “It’s like nothing you’ve ever driven before!”

Blindfold Driving is a challenging yet fun team building activity for a minimum of 4 people. Perfect for teams who want to improve the way they communicate with each other. Using one of our Land Rover Defenders, the driver sets it in to second gear and just leaves the Land Rover to drive itself no accelerator, clutch or brake needed except at the end of the lap.

With one team member blindfolded, the other team member must navigate the driver around our course using clear and direct instructions. It is amazing how quickly people forget their left and rights!!

Avalanche Adventure offers you the chance to zoom around the track in our tough Gemini Off Road Racing Buggies with their 400cc engines. With a completely automatic transmission with a full roll cage and all-round suspension, these buggies are one to watch out for!

These off road buggies are really simple to drive. All you have to do is put your right foot down on the juice and just whizz away! Oh and don’t forget to press down your left foot occasionally to stop.

Come for a 1-2 hour adventure out on our quad bikes, around our 350 acre woodland and field course, supervised by our instructors. People generally love a varied experience and quad biking is the perfect way to satisfy the urge of exploring off roads in a completely different style. It can also be a great experience for a person who prefers driving a car such as a Sports Utility Vehicle as a quad bike is more open and has a structure that is more suitable and steady.

The Opposite Steer Buggy is an interesting and challenging activity, good for stag/hen or corporate days out. As you steer left it goes right and vice versa, testing your reactions and your brain power. Everything you learnt whilst learning to drive will be disregarded and you will be going against what seems natural.

The Opposite Steer Buggy requires good concentration in order to be able to get the hang of how this vehicle works.

Power Turn Buggies make for a completely unique driving experience. These whacky machines are twin-engine twin-seated grass buggies with six wheels. Each driver has their own joystick which controls an engine and rear wheel each.

Teamwork and communication are essential; will you conquer the slalom course, or spend your time spinning in circles?

The Power Turns have a full roll cage and safety harnesses to ensure your safety.
