Winner of Leicestershire’s “Best Visitor Attraction”
Wistow Maze is a giant 8 acre maize maze with a fun Quiz Trail hidden amongst 3 miles of pathways, with high level bridges and towers giving stunning views across the giant maze and surrounding countryside.
Wistow Maze is redesigned each year using GPS satellite technology.
For 2019, to mark the 50th Anniversary of the 'First Man on the Moon' (20 July 1969), the maze has been designed in the shape of an 'Astronaut', and the quiz trail will test visitors knowledge on other Major Historic Achievements, which will be both fun and educational.
The maze includes an Activity Funyard full of mini-mazes and games for all ages, including beanbag throwing, hoopla, a space-hopper track and football shooting game, which can be played on before, during or after entering the maze.
Situated opposite is the Wistow Rural Centre with a café/bistro, Mediterranean deli, garden centre, art gallery, model village and numerous shops, making it a great day out for all the family.
Visitors can come in and out of the maze as many times as they like throughout the day, maybe stopping for a picnic or having something to eat at the cafe, before finishing the quiz trail.
Both school visits and office outings are extremely popular.
Brochures and maps are included in the entrance price, and there is an easier Quiz Trail map for younger children or people who don't have much time. Don't worry, there is a Quick Exit for anyone who needs to get out quickly!
Opens: Sat 20 July - Sun 1 Sept (daily), then weekends only until Sun 22 Sept

Useful Information
The maze is an agricultural field so sensible shoes are advisable. After rain pushchairs are not a good idea, but wellies are, as the paths do get muddy! Worth checking the website in case of closure due to the weather.
