Lockwell Hill Activity Centre

You may have seen this event on television, so why not come and have a go at it for yourself? Teams must compete against each other in some weird and wonderful activities, and we have our own version of ‘It’s a Knockout,’ featuring many fun games, wacky costumes as well as lots of foam and water. This is a great activity for corporate events, team building, or those larger groups wanting a half or full day of fun-filled mayhem.

Time to get physical on our assault course! Designed to get the heart racing without being too demanding, this is a great activity for team-building exercises, personal challenges, or family fun. Comprising of tunnels, scramble nets, rope swings, balance beams, tightropes and more, you will need to work as a team on a course that will test you while still remaining fun and exciting.

Like any target sport, you’ll need a steady hand and nerves of steel to complete our crossbow adventure. These medieval weapons are easy to use and deadly accurate. Following a similar format to shooting a rifle but combining it with a furring bow, this activity is a very unique experience. You will receive a full safety briefing followed by tuition from one of our instructors. Once you are familiar with your crossbow and its workings, you will get a quick practice shoot

Once the sport of kings, this fun and easy activity a must for all ages. Following some expert tuition from one of our Grand National Archery Society instructors, the archery competition will begin. A brief safety and understanding on how to shoot correctly is followed by a competition to find the master archer. This activity is suitable for both adults and juniors, and is an ideal activity for groups large and small, especially in conjunction with any of our other activities.

Come and try your hand on our rifle shooting range. Throw on your cowboy hat and we’ll take a walk to tin can alley. We’ll introduce you to your rifle and after some expert tuition from your instructor, it’s time to let a few shots off at the targets on the range. You’ll be armed with our .22 rifles and given some practice shots to “get your eye in” before the serious competition starts.

For the junior quad bike rider, several laps of one of our targeted bike tracks await. If completed safely, you will be invited to follow a marshal around our junior quad bike trail. Adult quad bikers will ride around our larger quad bike trail, led by your marshal around virtually all of our 60 acre site. Our purpose-built track will lead you over hills, in and out of ditches, and through rough woodland terrain. Both individual and group sessions are available to challenge yourself or a group

Try your hand at our new outdoor go- karting track, with hairpins, straights, twists and turns this superb 720metre track offers thrills and spills to all budding race enthusiasts. This superb circuit is available for casual practice sessions, corporate and owner-driver sessions, stag and hen parties. Junior and adult sessions are available. Our easy to use 200cc Biz karts are great fun and thrilling to drive as you pitch machine against the tarmac.
