Lakeland Wildlife Oasis

Established for more than 25 years and set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis is perfect for families. Boasting over 100 species of insects, fish, birds, reptiles and mammals, the little zoo with lots to do follows an evolutionary journey spanning 300,000,000 years. With indoor and outdoor areas, tropical halls, free flying butterflies, birds and bats, conservatories, big animal walkthroughs, hands on displays, interactive activities and many enclosures of free ranging animals, the oasis is an experience like no other. Unlike other zoo’s, there’s plenty of opportunities to get up close to many of the animals. With “Animal Encounter Experience Days” you can spend time feeding, enriching, touching and learning about your favourite creatures. From handling sessions, zoo keeper days and parties for our younger visitors, through to interactive experiences with our snow leopards and fossas for adults, there’s lots of different ways you can get up close and personal and really get involved.
