Facilities
Useful Information
- Wear sensible clothes for adventure.
- Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip-off shoes, open toes or heels.
- Gloves are a good idea. Either bring a pair or you can buy them at the cabin on the day.
- Midges will be around during the summer months. Remember to bring some spray or you can buy some from the cabin on the day.

Pick the wild card, swap the weekend sports game for a whole new challenge that is sure to test everyone with a visit to the high ropes in Cumbria. Begin with the relative ease of Grandpop’s and let your competitive side build up to a finish on the skidding Shuffle – a task that will require you to use all your strength and balance. If our tricky crossings aren’t quite enough to satisfy the urge for a breath-taking experience, you’re sure to be thrilled by a ride on the formidable Tarzan Swing - enough for any adrenaline junkie!

Treetop Adventure is an adrenaline-filled, hour-long high ropes activity aimed at younger children. It has intricate tree-to-tree crossings, wobbly bridges and brilliant zip wires for kids, all designed for young adventurers over 1m tall.
Kids and parents love Treetop Adventure as it pushes children outside of their comfort zone in a safe environment. The continuous belay system means that participants are always attached to the safety wires.
Children under 6 need to be supervised by an adult on our high ropes course. For children over 6, parents can decide to supervise/cheer from the forest floor or high up in the treetops.

Treetop Adventure Plus

Treetop Adventure Plus is all about the 'more'. More speed, air, freedom, height, and thrills for young adventurers.
It's a step up and extension to our popular Treetop Adventure high ropes course, so children need to be at least 1.2m to participate. Participants will have full access to the Adventure loops of the course to find their feet, hone their skills and have fun. When they feel ready, it's time to hit the heights of Adventure Plus and the additional loop.
The extra loop goes further into the treetops, with more challenging crossings. This turns up the adventure and the fun, finishing with their biggest zip-wire ride of the day back to the ground.
This is one of the most challenging Treetop Adventure Plus courses that Go Ape has to offer. It is significantly higher than other courses, and there are a number of more challenging obstacles. Younger children may find it difficult, even if they have completed Treetop Adventure Plus at another location.

Climb aboard one of our all-terrain Segways, for some unrivalled Cumbrian views. Our exclusive trails will take you to incredible vantage points where you can soak up the sights from Skiddaw to Helvellyn. Probably our most scenic Segway Safari and still fun if enveloped in cloud!
