5 Things You Didn’t Know About Paintball

  1. Paintball is popular all over the world and is played in over 100 countries
  2. If you were so inclined, you could safely eat a paintball as they’re made from non-toxic, bio-degradable materials (but they would taste horrible!)
  3. Paintballs can reach speeds of up to 200 miles per hour
  4. Paintball has one of the lowest injury rates of any sport so it’s very safe
  5. The only paintball world record is held by Anthony Kelly – nothing to do with the game but he caught 11 paintballs in two minutes while blindfolded!

Paintball

Adventure Sports

Adventure Sports has three different types of paintball to choose from: Compact Paintball, Junior Paintball, and Original Paintball. Compact Paintball is ideal for small groups who want an action-packed private session, and you can play in groups of 4 to 30 people. Junior Paintball is the one to go for if your groups has 8 - 14-year-olds as it uses low-powered guns to minimise impact. Original Paintball is billed as ‘full on fun’ - if you have more than 12 people in a group, they can run a private session for you, otherwise you can be mixed in with other groups. Adventure Sports is just outside the town of Warwick and very easy to get to from the M40.

Delta Force Paintball Coventry

Part of the popular Delta Force chain of paintballing venues, the Coventry location off the Brinklow Road is one of the newer additions to the family. It’s one of the most high-tech paintballing centres in the UK, featuring six game zones. The Desert Storm arena sounds particularly realistic, with streets lined with shops and littered with military vehicles, border checkpoints and even a US Embassy building!

Low Impact Paintball & Splatball

Adventure Sports

After running paintballing events for over two decades, the instructors at Adventure Sports realised they needed to offer a more suitable game for kids under 11. They introduced a low-impact version of the game so that children as young as 8 can join in the fun. The most important difference is the guns used: these ones are specially designed to be lightweight, easy to operate, and safe. They are less powerful than standard paintball guns and the paintballs are smaller so if you’re shot with one, it doesn’t hurt as much. The sessions are also designed to be faster paced with shorter games, so the younger kids don’t get bored waiting around!

Laser Combat

Hatton Country World

Gather in teams and use your skill to outwit your opponents in a game of stealth, speed and nerve! Laser Combat at Hatton Country World is like the games of laser tag we’re all familiar with, but the difference is it’s played outside (so obviously does depend on the weather being dry!)

Airsoft

First & Only The Jungle – Harbury

First and Only pride themselves in providing the most varied airsoft experiences and carefully select a wide range of play environments across the country. Harbury is the location of one of the woodland venues, known as The Jungle, and offers the chance to take part in dense woodland combat. First and Only Airsoft’s minimum age for playing at any of their sites is 13 and anyone under 16 must have a parent or guardian present at all times.
