Midland Karting

Three circuits, two types of market-leading go karts, and over twenty years of experience – what else could you ask for in an outdoor karting venue?

Midland Karting are racing ahead when it comes to offering all the things you need for a great day out, whatever your level of ability. They are dedicated to making sure your driving experience is fast, fun, and unforgettable! So whether you’re interested in taking part in one of their endurance sessions, or looking to try out karting for the first time, here’s a taste of what’s on offer at Midland Karting.

The Venue

Midland Karting is perfectly situated on the outskirts of Lichfield, which is a short drive from the centre of Birmingham and an easy journey from Derby, Nottingham, and Stoke-On-Trent too. The outdoor tracks offers go karters a fantastic high-grip, high-speed drive thanks to the former airfield tarmac. It can stay open in wet weather too, allowing drivers to really test their skills and gain experience in all conditions.

The three circuits are popular with both seasoned and newbie karters, and the venue can be hired for corporate events, stag and hen dos (we’re told these can get super competitive!) and family parties. Normally, Midland Karting is open 7 days a week with hot and cold catering available on site for when you’re feeling a bit peckish between races.

The Karts

Visitors to Midland Karting have the pleasure of driving race karts by Sodi and BIZKart, chosen for their quality and speed. Karts by these market-leaders can reach speeds of 40mph and are challenging enough for experienced racers but also suitable for drivers of any level of ability, from ages 7 and over. While you can’t bring your own karts with you, you’re welcome to bring your own safety gear like helmets, gloves, boots and suits.

The Circuits

Midland Karting is fully floodlit, making it a sure and safe option all year round. There are three circuits to choose from, with a unique layout that means two of them can operate independently of each other. But do you want something larger and longer? They can combine two of the circuits together to make a mega circuit!

International Circuit – The primary circuit, AKA the ‘front’. With high-speed straights and fast corners, this is known for being as close to Formula 1 as you’ll get in a go kart!

Family Circuit – Shorter, slower and more suited to newcomers

Super Circuit – The first two circuits combine to make the perfect track for larger groups or longer endurance events
