Leicester Outdoor Pursuit Centre

Leicester Outdoor Pursuit Centre (also known as LOPC) is a fantastic place to experience and learn a huge variety of outdoor pursuits, from canoeing to climbing to bush craft. Committed to serving the local community at affordable prices, the centre is a registered charity working closely with local schools and businesses. They have loads to offer on their amazing 15-acre site, which is also open on evenings and weekends all year round and has free parking. Here’s a taster of what you can get up to:

Activate After School Club

The hugely popular after school club is open to kids aged 5 to 15 and is open every weekday in term time from 3 – 6pm. The older kids can try Canoeing, Kayaking, Bell Boating, Raft Building, Team Games, Climbing, Abseiling, Zip Line, Archery and Air Rifle Shooting, all accompanied by qualified instructors For the younger children they also have indoor options such as art, bouncy castle and games. Corporate team building and away days

What better way to encourage your team to work together and get a different perspective than with some outdoor pursuits? LOPC have a range of challenges to challenge your mind and body, from water-based activities like paddle boarding and raft building to ‘ariel trekkinig’ on a high rope course! You can design a whole day of activities with a particular goal in mind (e.g. improving confidence or communication), which can be led by one of the qualified team facilitators.

Parties for children and adults

Whether you’re looking for a great day out for your child’s birthday or want to try something different for you and your friends, LOPC have party packages for all ages. There’s a dedicated party room which you can decorate however you like – feel free to get creative! As well as a fun outdoor activity you’ll also get party invitations and certificates included in the price. There’s no onsite catering but you can bring your own food, picnic style, or arrange for one of the local fast food restaurants to deliver.

Training and Courses

There’s a variety of training courses available, from learning the ‘primitive skills’ of our ancestors to mastering a climbing wall, learn with the experts at LOPC!
