Published on: 10/05/21

With longer days, warmer weather, and more lockdown easing on the horizon, most of us are itching to celebrate our new freedoms with a real blast of adrenaline. And there’s no more exhilarating way to blow away the lockdown cobwebs than the thrill of high-octane, all-fun racing around today’s modern, technologically advanced Go Kart circuits.

To rev you up, we’ve sourced four incredible karting venues based around Greater Manchester, with great access from Lancashire and Merseyside across to Cheshire, Derbyshire and Yorkshire. From expert to beginner, open up the throttle, and get ready to spring up a gear!

TeamSport Manchester Trafford Park

Find all kinds of full-throttle fun at TeamSport Victoria’s sister track TeamSport Manchester Trafford Park, featuring brand new Biz Evo3 karts that really fly! Open late into the night, even experts will learn new tricks and manoeuvres on the tight, twisty 450-metre course. Awesome straights open up opportunities to floor it to the competition and get ready for your ears to pop as you lift-off over the mega-flyover.

Just 15 minutes from Manchester city centre, right next to Old Trafford and attractions like ITV Studios and The Deport Climbing Centre, it’s the perfect location for day-long group and family adventure- once you’ve celebrated heat victories with some tasty trackside refuelling, of course.

TeamSport Manchester Victoria

Located directly under the Manchester Arena car park, this high-octane circuit is super accessible for parking, pedestrians, or any of Manchester’s excellent public transport options, meaning you can save your driving skills for the laps that matter! Making the most of its urban location, the track at TeamSport Manchester Victoria twists and rises over multiple exciting levels, with full-on flyovers and 15 nerve-testing bends around the 550-metre circuit.

After a safety briefing, you’re all set to set up a tournament and beat your mates to pole position, or even challenge the lap record time. There’s plenty of chilled-out spaces for those who’d rather not take the wheel, perfect for capturing the excitement on camera or relaxing and watching the action over a sharing pizza.

Three Sisters Race Circuit

With a massive 1500 metres of thrills, Wigan’s Three Sisters Race Circuit can’t be beaten for outdoor racing. No previous experience is required; from kids’ and taster sessions and party events to training and competition racing, there’s something for everyone. Book a timed session, or let the experts tailor a package to your group’s requirements for the perfect action-filled track experience. Group endurance events are perfect for team bonding, or challenge friendly rivalries and settle scores with sizzling sprint races.

Exciting group on-site multi-activity half or full days are also on the menu, and talking tasty, once you’ve climbed out of your Biz, Honda-powered Le Mans Twin 200GX kart, enjoy relaxing over fantastic post-podium food while comparing your trophy-winning top moves!

TeamKarting

Based in Rochdale, TeamKarting has the longest all-tarmac indoor karting track in Greater Manchester. With no slipping and sliding, you’ll be able to put the pedal to the metal and enjoy one of the most challenging and exhilarating karting tracks in the North West. Enjoy the thrill of the chase over 500 metres of high-speed straights, fast bends and technical chicanes.

Winners of numerous awards and consistently rated 5* by customers, from the friendly and welcoming reception team to the helpful and professional track marshals, everyone’s focus is on your championship experience.
