Where can I find the Dungeons

Are you looking for something a bit different to do on your day out? Do you have a strong stomach and a wicked sense of humour? If so, you’ll love the gross, gory and very silly Dungeons experiences on offer across the UK!

You’ve probably heard of the famous London Dungeons, which have been scaring the wits out of hapless visitors since the 70s. They started out with life-like wax models but upgraded to live actors in the 80s to really bring the scares to life!

The shows will introduce you to gruesome London legends, both real and fictional, such as Jack the Ripper and Sweeny Todd.

Did you know that there are also fantastic dungeon days out to be had in Blackpool Dungeon, York Dungeon, and also Edinburgh Dungeon?

They all offer something a bit different for horror fans and are all well worth a visit.

Blackpool Dungeon has frights in store that play on all your senses, with things to hear, touch, see, feel and even smell! The 360-degree sets take you through 1000 years of macabre history, including a trip back to the seaside resort’s violent smuggling past.

If ghost stories are more your thing, head to the York Dungeon where you can be immersed in a recreation of the 16^th century Golden Fleece Inn (apparently the most haunted in the UK!)

Up at the Edinburgh Dungeon you can get your scary thrill on not one but two underground rides, see state of the art special effects in the Witch Hunt room, and get caught up in the ghoulish tale of infamous body snatchers Burke and Hare.
