City of The Beatles, culture and sport, Liverpool has something for every person, group and interest. With museums, galleries, unique historic buildings, arts centres and sporting venues, it has attractions throughout the whole city and (fact fans) more museums and galleries than any other UK city outside London.

Choose to visit the Beatles Story, Tate Liverpool, or the Merseyside Maritime Museum, or simply stroll around and enjoy the scenery, shops, cafes and restaurants. Everyone will love the vibrant Mersey waterfront; centred around the Royal Albert Dock, it's packed with hotels, shops, restaurants, and museums, and is home to exciting events. A short walk along the waterfront is the Museum of Liverpool, which brings Liverpool's incredible heritage to life. And when the night approaches- well, you’re in the home of generous hospitality and great music!

Liverpool’s best-kept hidden secret, you were once required to sign the Official Secrets Act to enter its underground labyrinth of rooms and offices, now open for visitors to freely explore. This historic WW2 bunker is a precious time capsule, and although the 300 war time staff have long gone, a visit will transport you back to uncover the stories, lives, and key responsibilities of the people who once worked there. Described as “one of the key strategic buildings where the Second World War was won”, you’ll step back in time on a fascinating self-guided tour taking 1-2 lose-yourself hours.

The Operations Room has remained exactly as it was left when the doors were closed on 15 August 1945, allowing you to see the documents and tools the British Armed Forces used to monitor enemy convoys and keep the British government informed, including one of only two surviving wartime phones which had a direct connection to the London War Cabinet. See where Commanders, WRNS and WAAF personnel worked day and night in the nerve centre of the Battle of the Atlantic. Here they monitored vital shipping lines and tracked enemy movements on a huge map wall for the Royal Navy- take your place, step up and feel the pressure!
