Adventure Nene (formerly Adventure Rutland) deliver adventures with a difference, in that they actually deliver them! They specialise in bringing bespoke mobile activities all over the East Midlands, including an entire mobile climbing wall. They’re also experts in watersports, which take place on Rutland Water and the River Nene. They’ve been operating since 2012 and are very proud of their experienced staff and award-winning activities.

So if you’ve got a group of people to entertain (they can cater for up to 240) or are just looking for something different to do at the weekend, here are some of the activities Adventure Rutland offer:

Axe Throwing

Now here’s something a bit different! Unleash your inner Viking warrior with a lesson in Axe Throwing. You’d be surprised how accurate you can be when throwing a Tomahawk through the air! With expert guidance you’ll soon experience the satisfaction of hitting the target (in a safe outdoor setting of course). Adventure Rutland can arrange this activity at a location to suit you, and it would add quite an unexpected twist to a birthday party or celebration.

Watersports

Whether you’ve a novice to watersports or want to achieve a specific qualification, Adventure Rutland can help. On Rutland Water and the River Nene you can have a go at Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, Sailing, Canoeing and Windsurfing, all with expert tuition. You can even build your own raft! This is a great team building activity and perfect for corporate days out. Will your raft sink or float? There’s only one way to find out!

Mobile Climbing Wall

Imagine turning up at work to find a huge climbing wall in the car park! If you’re planning a corporate team building day, you can hire a whole climbing wall (and instructors) from Adventure Rutland. It’s a great activity to test your confidence and build on your teamwork and communication skills. Also suitable for school events and stag and hen parties, and you can build a day of activities to go with it.

Orienteering

Have you always wanted to learn how to use a compass and read a map? Could you find your way with just these two things to help you? Gather a group of friends, colleagues or family and Adventure Rutland will lead you through Orienteering courses at Rutland Water, Oakham Woodlands, Melton Mowbray Country Park, Rockingham Forest or Ferry Meadows Country Park. Alternatively, you pick the venue and they come to you!

Mountain Biking

They provide the bikes, you just have to bring the muscle! Take an energetic Mountain Biking trip through gorgeous forests and woodlands in Wakerly Woods, Fineshade Woods and around Rutland Water. The instructors will lead you through the trails designed to match your ability (but also challenge you). You can also hire them to come to your location, and they can help you improve your cycling skills and learn new ones.
