Our Survival skills experience takes place on remote privately owned land within the Brecon Beacons National park. You will be taught essential survival skills that will enable you to create a functioning expedition camp. Using a variety of techniques you will learn how to make your own comfortable natural shelter, how to light and manage a fire, how to arrange a fire for cooking and many other wilderness skills.
For our standard experience we drive as close as possible to the site and then there is a 15 minute walk carrying equipment onto the site. If you are looking for a more challenging experience you have the option of an indoor briefing nearby and a navigational hike to the camp.
Useful Information
As we are all aware weather conditions can vary quickly in the UK. Due to the possibility of adverse weather conditions (at any time of year) all youth groups will be required to bring along tents as a backup or we can supply these at an extra cost if required. For adult groups this is optional and simply depends upon how challenging an experience you are after. The price for overnight wild camping includes: Evening meal, Breakfast & drinks, Coffee & Tea / Orange Juice, Seasoned firewood. Participants will need to bring along their own sleeping bag & mat.
Rock Climbing South Wales

Get a fantastic introduction to Outdoor Climbing, ideal for those who are looking for their first outdoor rock climbing experience. Ask any climber and they will tell you that indoor climbing is great, but outdoors is where the fun really happens.
Your experience will start with a safety briefing from your instructor who will teach you how to use the equipment before you scale the 30 to 60ft crags rocks in the beautiful Brecon Beacons or the fantastic quarries of Morlais in Merthyr Tydfil

This an exciting experience where you have the chance to learn how to abseil in a safe and scenic environment within the Brecon Beacons National Park, abseils range from 80ft – 150ft in height!
You will learn the basics of an immensely enjoyable sport, under expert guidance and with appropriate safety gear. Your experience will begin with a safety briefing including the use of equipment, once briefed you will hit the heights and have multiple turns at abseiling down the face of the crags.

Our Caving experience takes place at Porth Yr Rogof one of the most popular caves within the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales. You will be kitted out with either a wetsuit or caving suit, helmet and head torch. Once inside this secret underground world your group will follow hidden passages and explore interesting chambers and strange rock formations you will make your way by walking, scrambling, crawling & sliding
Useful Information
You will enter the system via a large underground entrance (see photo)- most of the route will be of walking height although there may be some crawl through spaces which are optional. Duration Approx 2½hrs. To arrange a booking we require a minimum group size of four, if you do not have a minimum group size you are welcome to join one of our open events.
Cycle Hire Guided Tours South Wales

This is fantastic and fun filled downhill route from the top of Caerphilly Mountain with a great view of the City of Cardiff. On a clear day you can see the whole city spread out before you and can clearly make out the islands of Flat holm and Steep holm in the distance.
We take the bikes to the start point at the top of the mountain and its downhill all the way!

White Water Surf Kayaking

If you are looking for the ultimate ‘white water’ experience then try our White Water Surf Kayaking for heart thumping, adrenaline rushing excitement! Unlike surfing, our sit on top kayaks can ride even the smallest of white waves all the way to the shore and are great fun even in a very low surf. You also have the option to go for a paddle along the beautiful Gower or Pembrokeshire coastline.
We use Perception Scooter Sit on Top kayaks which are ideal for beginners, with a wide stable base & streamline design they can be used in the Surf & Sea, Rivers and Inland Waters. No awkward spraydeck or eskimo roll required, if you capsize you can jump straight back on. This activity is ideal for both novice and experienced kayakers/surfers.

White Water Rafting

We have access to the best White Water Rafting in Wales our recommended course was the venue for the British White Water Rafting Wales Championships in December 2008.
This rafting trip has an amazing array of wild life and the trip is about 2½ hours long (10km) with an average river difficulty of 1- 3. You may also have the chance of a good rapid swim during the trip too!
The International scale of White Water Rafting difficulty is rated from: Grade 1- (Easy) to Grade 6- (Unraftable). Most of the rivers in the UK are usually Grade 1-3 runs but can change depending upon water levels. International White Water Rafting destinations such as the river Zambezi, the Alps etc. typically run grades 4-5

Our Canyoning experience takes place in the waterfall country of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, also used as a training ground for the SAS and SBS.
