Curious About... Marlow
Explore Marlow town centre with two self-guided heritage walks with a treasure hunt theme. Discover Marlow's "hidden treasures" whilst having a fun day out with family and friends!
Marlow, which sits by the Thames, was voted one of the best places to live in the south-east in 2017. The spectacular suspension bridge which crosses the river is a Grade I listed structure and was the prototype of one built across the Danube in Budapest. In Higginson Park is the Millennium Maze and a statue of Sir Steve Redgrave, who was born in Marlow, and rowed there.
The town’s train service is known as the Marlow Donkey, and the monster Frankenstein was brought to life there – don’t worry the natives are much friendlier now!
