An experience that you will never forget. High flying, adrenaline filled adventure making your way through Honister pass all the way up to Fleetwith Pike gaining stunning views over the Lake District.

Via Ferrata is Latin for “Iron walkway” used to carry supplies to soldiers during the First and Second World War through the Alps at high altitude. These routes have since become a way to experience the thrill of climbing safely.

Honister’s Climb The Mine is an action-packed course that takes place within the mountain’s dark abandoned mines. This is a simply unique and thrilling experience and one that that can be enjoyed by individuals, groups of friends or the whole family.

The course features a series of metal ladders, rungs, bridges and more that take you through parts of the mine.

Climb The Mine is a great challenge for those new to this sort of activity or for those who would like to do the Via Ferrata

Bouldering is a fantastic way for children to pick up the basic movement skills and experience the fun of climbing without the need for a harness and ropes.

Instead the climbing is kept at a low level and thick foam matting is used to protect them if they do fall.

Under the supervision of a parent or guardian over the age of 18, children can use the bouldering room for as long as they like.

This activity is ideal for when all our courses are fully booked or when children are afraid of heights

If you are looking for a fun way to get involved in climbing then look no further, Krazy Kong has officially landed! Krazy Kong consists of a range of whacky and interactive climbing walls, each with a different theme guaranteed to be loads of fun for all!

Before you know it you could be climbing a beanstalk, having a race up our speed wall, or taking a journey into space.

Krazy Kong does not require you to have any previous climbing experience as we have auto belay systems in place

The extreme element supplements the standard Ghyll scrambling experience by making it more challenging, action-packed and exciting. If you have done some ghyll scrambling before or just fancy a full-on adrenaline filled experience then this activity is for you.

This section sees you descend into a high-sided canyon, abseil down multiple waterfalls, and slide down the biggest and fastest slide in the whole of Stoneycroft Ghyll.

Have you wondered what all the fuss is about and want to give this fantastic sport a whirl? Or maybe you have experienced climbing indoors and feel ready to take it outdoors?

Whatever your reason, our friendly and experienced instructors will take you to a local crag and help you through your first outdoor climbing experience.

Why not make a day of it? Our experienced instructors can take you to two different venues including an abseil. A delicious lunch will even be provided

If you are looking for something a bit different or need a wet weather alternative for your children, look no further and check out our adventurous hard play area based in our café.

The Kids Hard Play Area is a great way for younger kids to experience climbing, bouldering and caving in a fun, safe environment in which they will be able to learn through play.

There is even a rope bridge and a big dragon that breaths smoke.

KONG’s Cave is a small network of twists and turns for you to explore, an exciting activity for all the family, with lots of fun to be had.

Weasel your way through from the bottom of our climbing wall into KONG’s Den, a Cavern filled with painting and minerals from a forgotten time.

There you will have a choice of routes to take but will you find the exit?! A great activity for the curious and adventurous.

This is an activity that builds confidence

Our experienced instructors will guide you down this fast flowing water course and safely throw you off as many jumps as you can handle! As exciting as a man-made water park but in the breathtaking Lake District!

Meeting at KONG Adventure we will get you kitted up with wetsuits and helmets, you will need to have swimwear for under the wetsuit and trainers you can get wet. You will also need to bring towel, dry clothes and shoes for afterwards.

You are staying in a mountain hut . You receive a message from the local mountain rescue team saying that they require your assistance in locating a fallen climber. There are some clues to their whereabouts but everything is vague and extremely puzzling.

The team need your help but time is of the essence. A severe weather warning has been given for an hours time.
